45 g butter
200 g caster sugar
1 egg
150 g flour
5 tsp cocoa powder
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
200 ml milk
Sauce:
250 ml water
150 g soft brown sugar
5 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
Method:

Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Beat butter & sugar until light & fluffy.
- Mix together sauce ingredients (except vanilla) & bring to boil. Add vanilla.
- Add egg to butter/sugar mix & continue beating.
- Sift together dry ingredients & add to mix alternating with milk.
- Pour batter into oven-proof dish & add sauce.
- Bake for 30 mins.
