Self-saucing Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients:
45 g butter
200 g caster sugar
1 egg
150 g flour
5 tsp cocoa powder
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
200 ml milk

Sauce:
250 ml water
150 g soft brown sugar
5 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. 
  2. Beat butter & sugar until light & fluffy. 
  3. Mix together sauce ingredients (except vanilla) & bring to boil. Add vanilla. 
  4. Add egg to butter/sugar mix & continue beating. 
  5. Sift together dry ingredients & add to mix alternating with milk. 
  6. Pour batter into oven-proof dish & add sauce. 
  7. Bake for 30 mins.
